Cihuapilli Rose Amador LeBeau interviews Dr. Robin La Due (Taidnapam-Cowlitz), Author of the book, “Totems of September” on Native Voice TV.

LaDue mentions about her landless tribe, Cowlitz Nation, of two bands of tribes, Upper (Taidnapam) and Lower (Kwalhiokwa) tribes. The Cowlitz Nation had 22,000 and now has less than 4,000. The Cowlitz gained ‘Federal’ recognition in February of 2000.

LaDue discusses her book, “Totems of September“. The book is biographical, telling about Native history. History of cultural and traditional lost and how currently, Indigenous people are in ‘Redemption’, regaining their cultural heritage back.

LaDue continues to personally tell about her family and her experiences when she was young during the North Pacific ‘Fishing Wars‘. This show is a “MUST SEE“. Helps bring more awareness of ourselves, the truth of our past and current humanity.
