Cihuapilli Rose Amador and Sundust Martinez interviews Johnny Clay (Pomo/Wailaki/ConCow Maidu) of Round Valley reservation, Mendocino, California on Native Voice TV. Clay mentions that his daughters inspired him to do his pencil art work.
He has used Edward S. Curtis and Library of Congress photographs to create his (#2 Graphite) pencil art. He likes ‘Curtis‘ photographs for he captures so much of the person’s facial features. Clay wants to create a collection of his native people and pass on to future generations. His art work is more than can be shown on TV.
