Michael Horse is one of the ‘Top‘ Native American ledger artists in the country, and, is one of the men responsible for keeping this art form alive. Ledger art is a traditional Native American folk art depicting life before & after the reservation period of the late 1800s to early 1900s. The images of life on the plains, ceremonies and daily activities, along with battles, boarding school and
experiences of oppression are also depicted.
Mr. Horse is also an award-winning jeweler and actor.
Panny Opal Plant – Yaqui, Mexican, English, Dutch, Choctaw, Cherokee and Algonquin Ancestry. She grew up in the urban environment of the San Francisco Bay Area and involved in the Bay Area Native community.
